Patient: FICTIONAL PATIENT
Identifier: DEMO-001
Date: 01 January 2026

CONTEXT
Indication: Assessment of renal morphology and arterial flow (fictional).
Technique / vessels sampled: B-mode, colour and spectral Doppler; bilateral main renal arteries sampled.
Technical limitations: No accessory artery confidently demonstrated; this does not exclude one.

RENAL MORPHOLOGY
Right renal length (cm): 10.7
Left renal length (cm): 10.9
Cortical appearance / thickness: Preserved corticomedullary differentiation in the acquired images.
Collecting systems, calculi and focal lesions: No collecting-system dilatation seen.
Bladder / residual if assessed: Not assessed in this vascular-focused examination.

AORTA AND DOPPLER TECHNIQUE
Aortic peak systolic velocity (PSV) (cm/s): 82
Doppler angle / technical notes: Angle correction documented on stored traces.
Renal venous flow: Flow demonstrated bilaterally.

RIGHT RENAL ARTERIAL DOPPLER
Proximal PSV (cm/s): 96
Mid PSV (cm/s): 88
Distal PSV (cm/s): 84
EDV at highest-velocity sample (cm/s): 28
Renal-aortic ratio (entered, not calculated): 1.17
Intrarenal RI: upper / mid / lower: 0.61 / 0.60 / 0.62.
Waveforms / acceleration findings: Waveform appearances documented on stored traces.

LEFT RENAL ARTERIAL DOPPLER
Proximal PSV (cm/s): 101
Mid PSV (cm/s): 88
Distal PSV (cm/s): 84
EDV at highest-velocity sample (cm/s): 28
Renal-aortic ratio (entered, not calculated): 1.23
Intrarenal RI: upper / mid / lower: 0.61 / 0.60 / 0.62.
Waveforms / acceleration findings: Waveform appearances documented on stored traces.

CONCLUSION
Impression: Bilateral renal measurements and sampled velocities documented. No automatic stenosis classification.
Recommendations / communication: Interpret with laboratory criteria, technical adequacy and the clinical assessment.

Using this reporting structure

Technique and sampling

Describe the renal examination and vessels sampled, with technical limitations. Keep right and left renal measurements separate. For Doppler, document the sampled sites, velocity units and relevant angle-correction information.

Interpretation

PSV and EDV denote peak systolic and end-diastolic velocity. Record renal-aortic ratios and intrarenal resistive indices only from reviewed measurements, using the appropriate laboratory method. Ripot does not calculate these values or diagnose stenosis; explain incomplete assessment in the conclusion.
